SAFECO began in 1985 as a demolition and asbestos abatement company based out of Morgantown, WV. As the demand continued for a company with integrity and performance continued to grow SAFECO grew with it.Today SAFECO employs over 40 full time employees, and continues to remain family-owned and family-operated. In 2002 SAFECO was incorporated to become SAFECO Environmental Inc., relocating our main office to Dilliner PA.

Our continued growth has allowed us to expand the services we offer as well as the range of operation, which now includes West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana. SAFECO now has three offices, Dilliner PA, Morgantown WV, and our latest office located in Cleveland Ohio.

We believe that a combination of highly-skilled professionals, experience in the industry, and practical knowledge allows us to provide our clients with superior quality and responsive services. Safety

At SAFECO Environmental, Inc., we believe that people are our number one resource. That’s why we put such a priority on safety.

Safety is given primary importance in planning and operating all company activities. Accordingly, it is company policy to place safety and health on an equal basis with quality, productivity and costs of providing services.

Training programs at a minimum include asbestos, lead, hazardous waste operations (HAZWOPER), confined space, confined space rescue, powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts, lockout/tagout, fall protection, scaffold erection, excavation, and OSHA 10 and 30-hour for Construction. Re-certification and new training are constantly ongoing.

We have maintained a Experience Modification Rate (EMR) well below the industry average (<1.0) .

We enforce a corporate policy against the abuse of drugs, controlled substances and alcohol, and have been enrolled in the BWC’s Drug-Free Workplace Program for the past 3 years. In addition, all SAFECO truck drivers and equipment operators must submit a pre-employment and partake in an annual 12-panel drug screen.
